Christian Devotional – July 3, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 11:3–And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, and He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear.

TRUTH:
This verse refers to the Messiah Jesus Christ. He will delight in what God delights in and He will see things as God see them because He is God. When we invite Jesus Christ to live within us, these traits should describe us as well. Do we delight in the fear of the Lord? Do we judge by God’s insight into situations or our own? Today, will we see and judge based on God’s wisdom or our own?

RESPONSE:
Lord, You are amazing. You have perfect wisdom and insight and I will trust You entirely. The Lord is over all things and through Him, we can be focused on these things as well.
