Christian Devotional – July 5, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 13:9–Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, cruel, with fury and burning anger, to make the land a desolation, and He will exterminate its sinners from it.

TRUTH:
God is love, but sometimes we forget that God is also justice and holiness. Because of God’s holiness, He must punish sin. There will come a time when God will enact His justice on all who do not repent and believe. We are to be sharing God’s plan of salvation with others so they may enjoy God’s grace and not experience God’s fury.

RESPONSE:
Father, You are over all things and You are Holy and cannot allow sin to remain. I pray that I will be diligent and faithful to share Your salvation with others today so they may escape Your wrath.
