Christian Devotional – July 6, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 14:27–For the Lord of hosts has planned and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back?

TRUTH:
God carries out His plans. Unlike our plans, God never needs a plan B. He is never surprised or shocked about how events unfold. We can find great comfort in this fact, knowing that nothing can alter God’s plans and that He has everything worked out. Take heart, God is in control!

RESPONSE:
Father, I can get distracted so easily and become frustrated in situations, but You are never surprised by events. Lord, help me to have the confidence and faith to trust in You and Your plans, even when I can’t see how they will work out. You are in control.
