The Message – #59

God is able. We should never doubt God’s ability to do what he has said he can do and what he has promised to do. Read Isaiah chapter 59. Today we are looking at verse 1.

Behold, the Lord’s hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear.
Isaiah 59:1 NASB

If you ever wondered about the impact of your sin on your relationship with God, this chapter covers that entirely. Our sin separates us from God. Because of our sin we cannot be made right with God. As a result, there needed to be an intercessor, someone who had the ability to bridge the gap between sinful us and a holy God.

Jesus Christ was that bridge. God is able to save us. God provided the way in which we shall be saved. All we need to do is call out to God and recognize his position of holiness, our position of sinfulness, and except his forgiveness and Lordship over our lives. Is he the Lord of our life? Are we allowing God to do in our lives what he wants to do? He has made a way to bridge the gap, will we accept it?
