Christian Devotional – June 18, 2019

Where is your treasure? What do you work to gain? Paul is still talking to Timothy about the wealthy and how they should act and he continues in 1 Timothy 6:19.

storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.

These are people who already have wealth, at least they have it in this life. Paul wants to remind them that storing up treasure is important, buy we are to be storing it up for the future, the eternal future. Only by staying focused on the eternal will we be able to truly take hold of the things that life is truly all about.

What are we hanging on to and storing up? Is it things in this life or for the future eternal life?
