Christian Devotional – June 22, 2014

Read 1 John chapter 3

VERSE:

1 John 3:4-5–Everyone who sins breaks the law, in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.

TRUTH:

Jesus came so that we would be made right with God. Our sin keeps us from being right with Him and is an example of breaking the law. However, with Jesus, we have our sins taken away from us. He’s forgiven them and in Jesus there is no sin. As we surrender our life to Jesus, we have the realization that He wants to live in and through us each do so that we know what is right and what is wrong.

RESPONSE:

Father, You are perfect and Your Son Jesus is perfect. Thank You for providing a way for my sins to be forgiven and taken away. You are with me and I will seek You and rely on You to lead me in each decision today.
