Christian Devotional – June 24, 2012

VERSE:
Isaiah 2:17–The pride of men will be humbled and the loftiness of men will be abased; and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

TRUTH:
We can become so proud. Sometimes it’s pride in things we’ve done or things we’ve said, but ultimately only the Lord is the One to be lifted up and exalted. He is the only One worthy and everything that we’ve done is nothing compared with Him. Are we keeping the proper perspective and seeking to acknowledge and glorify God now?

RESPONSE:
Lord, You alone are worthy. You alone will be exalted. Help me not to lose sight of that or try to take any of Your glory for myself.
