Christian Devotional – June 30, 2013

VERSE:

Jeremiah 1:5–Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

TRUTH:

God wanted Jeremiah to know that there was a plan and purpose for his life. God knew everything about him and had actually created him and still planned to use him for a specific purpose. God knows us just as intimately. He created each one of us and gave us purpose. We must guard against sin in our lives that would take us away from what God has for us, but we should never doubt that there is a plan. As we seek God and obey Him, we can take heart knowing it is part of His plan.

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that life is precious as You created it. I pray I will not take Your gift of life for granted today or waste it in disobedience to You. I will seek You and desire to be obedient to the purpose You have set for me.
