Christian Devotional – March 10, 2013

VERSE:

2 Chronicles 9:31–Then he rested with his ancestors and was buried in the city of David his father. And Rehoboam his son succeed him as king.

TRUTH:

Solomon had amazing accomplishments and profound wisdom, but even with all that, at the end of his life, he still died. Nothing could prevent that. All that he had was then passed to another do make decisions about and to do what he wanted with it. Unfortunately, Rehoboam did not have his fatehr’s wisdom and made some poor choices. We must remember that everything we do and everything we have is just temporary here on earth. Are we seeking after what is eternal and focused on the eternal today?

RESPONSE:

Father, I will seek you and follow You. Only the eternal things are the things that matter. I will not get caught up in the earthly things today.
