Christian Devotional – March 12, 2013

VERSE:

2 Chronicles 11:16–Those from every tribe of Israel who set their hearts on seeking the Lord, the God of Israel, followed the Levites to Jerusalem to offer sacrifices to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

TRUTH:

The country split and those in the north started to worship other idols, so the people in that area who believed and worshipped God chose to move south and join the southern kingdom of Judah. These people left fields and possessions and inheritances so they could be somewhere they could worship God. What would we sacrifice to be able to worship God?

RESPONSE:

Father, I don’t always think of sacrifice just to be able to worship You, but that is a reality for many people even today. I will continue to follow You and lift You up. Nothing I have is worth more than You and I will praise You no matter what the cost.
