Christian Devotional – March 13, 2013

VERSE:

2 Chronicles 12:1–After Rehoboam’s position as king was established and he had become strong, he and all Israel with him abandoned the law of the Lord.

TRUTH:

Often, this desrcibes us. When we are going through difficulties and hardships, we are trusting the Lord and seeking Him to help get us through. Then, when times are easy and prosperous, we forget about God and don’t seek Him. Are we experiencing easy times or difficult times? Are we trusting God through either one? When we forget about God through the good times, He has a way of getting our attention again and typically it is through more difficulties.

RESPONSE:

Lord, I praise You that You are always there through easy and difficult times. I confess my lack of consistency to You. I will seek You and praise You during the good times as well as the hard times. You are always worthy of my praise and my trust.
