Christian Devotional – March 20, 2018

How powerful is hope? The Lord knew how important it would be that we hope in something and he knew that the very best thing we could hope in is Him. See Psalm 27.

I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait for the Lord ; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord .

The psalmist had hope in the lord. This was not just a passing fancy or a wish that one day might come true. Hope is a confident assurance that what God had said, he will do. The psalmist knew that without that hope, he would have despaired. But, because he had hope, he could also wait for the Lord and do that confidently, knowing that when the time was right, God would act. Do we hope in the Lord? Or do we despair? Chose to hope in the Lord.
