Christian Devotional – March 21, 2013
VERSE:
2 Chronicles 20:12–“Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
TRUTH:
In the midst of impending doom, King Jehoshaphat has no idea what to do. He does the only thing he can think of. He assembles everyone and they pray. I love the honesty in the prayer, “God, I don’t have any idea what to do, but I’m going to look to You as my hope and my deliverer and wait on You.” How often do we look at our situations and feel this hopeless and powerless? How often do we come to God and pray knowing that only He can save us?
RESPONSE:
Father, I try to handle so many situations in my life but I just don’t know what to do. I confess my lack of faith and trust in You. I come to You now. You know how best to handle these and I will wait and trust in You.
