Christian Devotional – March 24, 2013

VERSE:

2 Chronicles 23:21–All the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was calm, because Athaliah had been slain with the sword.

TRUTH:

The evil queen has been killed and the people are rejoicing. We must get rid of the evil that is part of our lives. When we do, we should rejoice that it is gone, not mourn it or miss it. When we confess sin and make the commitment to put it out of our lives, are we rejoicing or are we mourning and missing it?

RESPONSE:

Father, when I confess wrong to You and banish it from my life, help me to rejoice and not miss the sin. I will praise You for helping me to be more like You.
