Christian Devotional – May 16, 2019
The confession. In this case it’s not referring to stating what one has done wrong, but a listing of statements of belief. Paul ends this chapter by reiterating several statements of faith that he knows to be true. Read 1 Timothy 3:16.
By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

All these things are a reference to Jesus Christ. Do we know and understand who Christ is and all that He has done? Are we willing to share these truths with others? Jesus Christ was revealed in the flesh and He was vindicated by the Spirit. Jesus was seen by angels and has been and continues to be proclaimed among the nations. Jesus has been believed on in the world and has been taken up back into Glory. Will we stand on that confession and share it?
