A Prayer for You, Day 7

A prayer for Christ-like relationships. Read Philippians chapter 2,focusing on verses 5-8.

These verses are always tremendously convicting. The idea that we are to have the same attitude as Christ Jesus is such a reminder that most of the time we don’t have the same attitude as Christ Jesus. What struck me today is how much Paul has been talking about unity and relationships and how the people of Philippi interacted with each other. This verse really is no different. Paul is saying that in their relationships with each other. They should have the same attitude as Christ Jesus.

The way we relate to one another and our prayer for interaction and communication with each other should be to be more like Christ. How can we be more Christ-like in attitude in our relationship with others? Our focus needs to be ensuring that our attitude reflects Christ, but especially when it comes to the way we interact with those we are around us. Our relationships need to point people to Christ, not just our attitude.
