A Prayer for You, Day 14

A Prayer for Godly perspective. Read Philippians chapter 3, focusing on verses 4-7.

Paul is sharing his testimony. Paul explains that if anyone was going to be able to earn their way to heaven, he had the right to do that. Paul was the best Jew there was. He followed every rule and was exceedingly diligent about ensuring that everything happened the way it needed to happen. However, once Paul met Christ, Paul’s perspective changed. He now understood that Christ was the only thing that mattered.

Paul wanted the people of Philippi to keep the right perspective. He was praying that no matter what was going on, they would see what was good, right, and worthwhile. Paul did not want them spending extra time on all the things that they shouldn’t be doing. Instead, Paul wanted to make sure the people were focused intently on what mattered through Christ.

What is our focus on? Are we ensuring that we have the perspective that keeps the heavenly things first and foremost in our mind. Are we acting in a way that demonstrates our heavenly perspective?
