A Prayer for You, Day 15

To understand where salvation comes from. Read Philippians chapter 3, focusing on verses 8-11.

Paul has been explaining his incredible religious and Jewish background. If anyone would have been able to deserve salvation, it would have been him. However, he understood that he falls short of God’s demand’s for perfection.

So where does Paul’s righteousness come from? Paul explains that his righteousness was not based on his ability to follow the law, it was based on Christ. Christ lived and followed the law. He was the only one who could do that. As a result, we are to follow him. Our ability to be made righteous lies in our submission to Jesus Christ. Will we submit to him?
