Christian Devotional – May 27, 2015

Read Psalm chapter 127

VERSE:

Psalm 127:1–Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.

TRUTH:

If we are doing anything outside of or apart from God, we are destined for failure. The Lord is the One who gives purpose to all we do and the One who is capable of being successful. If we are trying to accomplish anything without Him, , all our effort is completely wasted. What are we trying to accomplish today? Are we allowing Him to accomplish it through us?

RESPONSE:

Father, I want my actions and attitudes to matter today, so I will surrender them to You. Only Your actions are lasting. Take me and make me into Your image and work through me today.
