Read Psalm chapter 128

VERSE:

Psalm 128:1–Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.

TRUTH:

What does it mean to fear the Lord? We are to respect and reverence Him. He is holy and powerful and worthy of all our devotion. We are to obey Him. As we fear the Lord, we will obey His commands and seek to walk in his ways. As we are walking in obedience, this verse indicates that we will be blessed by the Lord. While that blessing may take many different forms, we never have to doubt that God will bless those who are faithful to Him. Are we walking in obedience to Him today?

RESPONSE:

Father, I will walk in obedience to You today. I know that You are faithful to bless those who are obedient to You, but I will serve and obey You, simply because of who You are and that I love and honor You. I thank You that You see fit to bless me and I am content with that blessing, whatever form it takes.
