The Message – #48

God’s wrath is delayed. Now, it’s important to realize that God delays his wrath for his own purposes. He has his own reasons and ultimately, only his praise and glory matter. Read Isaiah chapter 48 and focus on verse 9.

“For the sake of My name I delay My wrath, And for My praise I restrain it for you, In order not to cut you off.

He does indicate that is doesn’t want to cut us off, but make no mistake, God is ultimately concerned with his own glory and his own praise. He dors exactly what is right in exactly the right moment to result in him receiving the most glory.

Are we working with God to give him glory, or are we struggling against him? Do we accept God’s timing or do we try to make our own? God has the best timing worked out and we can trust him in all that He does.
