Who is God? Day 5

God is bigger. Read Nahum chapter 2, focusing on verses 7-10.

Assyria was one of the largest and most powerful nations at this time. They were known for being brutal and relentlessly conquering all of the people around them. When God starts telling them that judgment is coming, it is easy to think that won’t matter much. However, it’s important to realize that God is bigger.

There is nothing that is happening in this world that is outside of God. He is more powerful and more knowledgeable and just “more” in every way. The people of Nineveh were not going to be able to stand against him.

We can rest assured that God is bigger than anything we will face. We should also remember that there is nothing we can do that will be bigger than God. Are we praising God and acknowledging him for everything that he does for us?
