Christian Devotional – November 16, 2019

An heir. We saw yesterday that through Jesus Christ, our relationship with God has changed and he has adopted us. Today we see that He takes it one step further and not only are we God’s children, but we are God’s heirs. Read Galatians 4:6-7.

Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

Being called sons and daughters of God is an amazing truth. But it’s even more amazing when we start to think about the fact that we have available to us all the resources and all the riches that our father has. We do not have to wonder about our worth, we are worth all that God has. As sons and daughters, we have an inheritance through Jesus Christ that is beyond anything that we can possibly imagine. Are we living this life knowing that our inheritance waits for us?
