Christian Devotional – November 17, 2014

Read Matthew chapter 13

VERSE:

Matthew 13:44–The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hit it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

TRUTH:

Would we be willing to sell everything we have in order to obtain one thing of great value? What is worth that much to us? Jesus indicates that the kingdom of heaven is worth everything we have and we should be willing to gladly trade all that we have to be able to obtain it. Will we trade all that we have and know in this lie in order to obtain the opportunity to experience the kingdom of heaven?

RESPONSE:

Father, I will not hoard anything You have given me here on earth because what I truly desire is worth so much more. I want You and Your kingdom. I desire Your will and all that You are more than anything in this world.
