The Weeping Prophet, Day 42

Wait on the answer from the Lord. Read Jeremiah chapter 42.

The people came to Jeremiah and asked that he seek the Lord for them. They wanted to know what God had said and how God would direct their paths. Jeremiah came back 10 days later. Sometimes the answers that we seek are not immediate. Sometimes we have to wait and seek God. In this case, not only did they have to wait, but even then God and Jeremiah both knew that they would not listen.

Are we willing to wait on God? Will we continue to seek him and are we truly open to obeying him in every step and direction he leads, even if it’s not what we want?
