Dealing with people is work. Anytime you are involved in working with someone, another person, you quickly understand that people and their lives and their problems are messy. Read Galatians 4:17-20.
They eagerly seek you, not commendably, but they wish to shut you out so that you will seek them. But it is good always to be eagerly sought in a commendable manner, and not only when I am present with you. My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you- but I could wish to be present with you now and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.

Paul had already worked really hard with the Galatians to make sure they understood Christ. However, now he was having to work with them again because of some of the lies they had been taught afterward. Paul understands that people’s lives are messy and they go through problems and struggles and trials. Because of that, we have to continually be willing to work with people.
We have to meet people where they are and accept them for who they are and then help them to see who Christ wants them to be. Are we willing to go through the work required to deal with people? Do we desire to see them made into the likeness of Christ no matter what?
