Christian Devotional – November 22, 2016

Read Job chapter 14

VERSE:

Job 14:17–My offenses will be sealed up in a bag; you will cover over my sin.

TRUTH:

Job, still speaking here, is reminded that he has sinned. He knows that there have been things that he has done that have offended God and have not bee holy and pure. Job also knows that because he has come to God and is seeking after Him fully and faithfully, God has made a way for those sins to be taken away. Job knows that his sins will be sealed up and God is able to cover over his sin. We have that same because of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of His sacrifice on the cross, our sins can be sealed up and covered over, if only we will trust in Him.

RESPONSE:

Father, I will trust in You and I have trusted in You for salvations. I thank You for all that You are doing in my life and help me to see You and do as You desire. I know that Satan likes to use my sin to trap me and keep me down and defeated, but You have overcome Him and will continue to make me victorious over Satan as I trust in You daily.
