Read Matthew chapter 22

VERSE:

Matthew 22:37–Jesus replied, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'”

TRUTH:

Jesus gave this answer to people who were trying to test him. These were the same people who would eventually have him killed. Yet He was explaining to them the importance of showing love to God. He wanted to make sure they understood that more than they quest for power, more than their quest for recognition, and even more than their quest for worldly things, God wanted them. He wants our hearts and our minds and our souls. God made us and He desires that we love Him with everything we are. Does that describe us today?

RESPONSE:

Father, I love You. I love You and I want my life to demonstrate that love. You see my heart and You know my mind. You see the places I struggle and the times I fall, but I also know that You see my desperate desire to love You with all that I am. Teach me to love You more today.
