Christian Devotional – October 1, 2016

Read Romans chapter 14

VERSE:

Romans 14:12–So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

TRUTH:

We will be held accountable for the actions that we have taken and the choices that we have made. If we will remember this more often, that may have an impact on what our choices actually are. We can have a tendency to make the “easy” choice in the moment, forgetting just how much our decisions can affect those people around, and ultimately, the fact that God Himself sees what we do and we will have to give an answer to Him for our reasons. What choices will we make today and will we be proud or ashamed to stand before God?

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that I don’t always think through my actions like I should and seek to understand all that You would have me do. I pray that You will forgive me and that You will cleanse me from these. I am so thankful for Your Son Jesus Christ so that when I am giving an account of my actions to You, I won’t be alone. I know that You have forgiven me, please give me the courage and the boldness to do all that You would have me to do going forward.
