Christian Devotional – October 19, 2019

Going to be burned up. Because of all they have done against Him, God explains the judgment. Read Obadiah 1:18.

“Then the house of Jacob will be a fire And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau will be as stubble. And they will set them on fire and consume them, So that there will be no survivor of the house of Esau,” For the Lord has spoken.

God will use the very people that Edom had been oppressing as the people who will bring about Edom’s downfall. These people will move through Edom like fire moves through kindling.

As we look at thise people who have wronged us, God is the one who will judge. God may use us to bring that about, but we should never confuse that with us bringing judgment ourselves.

Are we allowing God to be and do all that he wants to do through us? Do we give Him the credit and praise for all that He does?
