Christian Devotional – October 24, 2013

VERSE:

Hebrews 4:16–Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

TRUTH:

When we are facing dark and difficult times, what do we need more than anything? We need God’s mercy and grace. How do we receive these things? We receive them by approaching the throne of grace with confidence. When we are in need and downtrodden that is often when it is hardest to have confidence, yet we can be assured that our Father loves us and will hear our pleas and bestow mercy and grace upon us. We can always come to Him confidently, knowing that He will answer and respond to us, just as He has promised, and give us exactly what we need to make it through.

RESPONSE:

Father, forgive me for believing the lie that I am not good enough to come before You, especially when times are difficult. You are where the answer lies and You are always there with exactly what I need to make it through.
