Loyalty and commitment. How committed are we to Jesus Christ? Are we loyal to him and are we following through on our commitment to serve and obey him? Read Galatians 1:6-9.

I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!
Galatians 1:6‭-‬9 NASB

Paul heard that the believers in Galatia were being pulled aside and distracted with other versions of a gospel. And he mentions how that amazes him because he saw their original commitment to the truth of who Jesus is and what he had done in their lives. Yet those others have come in and started preaching something slightly different and that was causing people to lose their focus.

If we talk about being loyal to Jesus Christ and committing ourselves and our lives to him, then that means that we are not going to be easily swayed to another “gospel”. If we know and have studied and are committed to the truth of who Jesus is, we will tell when someone comes preaching a different gospel. It will stand out to us and we will recognize that it is not the truth. How well do we know the truth of Jesus Christ? Would we recognize someone preaching a different gospel? Our loyalty and our commitment can be found in the depth of our understanding and focus on the truth of who Jesus is.
