Christian Devotional – October 6, 2018

People are watching you.  Yes this includes your neighbors, your friends, and your coworkers, but there are also others who are watching and witnessing how you respond in obedience to Christ. Read Hebrews chapter 13.

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

There is a cloud of witnesses that is watching. And what are they watching for? They are looking for us to lay aside everything that might get in our way of walking in obedience. They are there to help hold us accountable to all that God has for us. Are we running the race that God has set before us with boldness, confidence, and integrity? Others are watching.
