Christian Devotional – September 12, 2014

Read 1 Corinthians chapter 5

VERSE:

1 Corinthians 5:12–What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?

RESPONSE:

Those who have not accepted Jesus Christ are going to act like… people who haven’t accepted Jesus Christ. We shouldn’t be surprised at this. Sometimes, it’s easy to think that everyone will have the same morals or the same conscience that we do, but we must realize that we have the Holy Spirit living in us, guiding our heart, and pushing us in the right direction. Non-Christians don’t have that. We are to love on them and help share with them the light of the message of Jesus, not judge them for things they may not even realize they don’t have.

TRUTH:

Father, help me to not get angry at non-Christians when they act like non-Christians. Keep me focused on You and on sharing You. Help me witness to them and point them in the right direction today.
