Read 1 Corinthians chapter 11

VERSE:

1 Corinthians 11:26–For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

TRUTH:

Regardless of whether you refer to it as The Lord’s Supper or Communion or something else, this time is to be special and important. We are to recognize the meaning as we are witnessing about the death of Christ through our taking of the bread and the cup. Are we prepared when we take them? Do we give it the focus and reverence that it is due, or just go through the motions?

RESPONSE:

Father, taking The Lord’s Supper is such a great time to reflect on You sacrifice and You promise to come again. Keep me focused on You no matter what so that I may use that time to proclaim You.
