Christian Devotional – September 2, 2015

Read Zechariah chapter 3

VERSE:

Zechariah 3:7–This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.’

TRUTH:

Zechariah is telling the high priest Joshua what the Lord has said concerning Joshua. Joshua is to stand firm and to follow the commands of God and if he will, then Joshua will long serve in the temple of God. God has a purpose and a plan for each one of us and if we will follow Him in obedience, He will establish us exactly where He wants us so that we may be the most effective serving and praising Him. Will we choose to walk today in obedience to God?

RESPONSE:

Father, I know that You will establish Your will among all the people. I will follow You and choose to walk in Your ways today. It’s not always easy; usually it’s quite difficult, but I will seek after You and Your assistance to walk in obedience to You today.
