Read 1 Corinthians chapter 16

VERSE:

1 Corinthians 16:13-14–Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.

TRUTH:

In Paul’s final words to the Corinthians in the letter, he tried to sum up all that he has just said. The people, at the end of the day, need to focus on these things. They need to be on guard against the attacks of the evil one. They need to be willing and able to stand firm in the faith they have in God. They must be courageous in every situation and they must be strong. How are they to do these things? They are to be focused on God’s love. If they will be acting in and through the love of God each day, they will have no problem with the rest of these. They will recognize when someone else isn’t in God’s love and be careful. They will have faith. They will be courageous and strong. All these things are tied up in the love of God. As we seek to live in God’s love and live out God’s love, we will find all these things fall into place. Do we live out these characteristics every day? Are we doing everything in love?

RESPONSE:

Father, Your love is what I need. I will seek to be a greater reflection of Your love today so that I may easily act and do all that You have for me to act and do. Keep me focused on living in Your love today and convict me when I am not.
