Devotional – August 10, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 55:22–Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

TRUTH:
God sustains us and holds us firm. But, He will only do that if we cast our burdens on Him. Do we give Him the areas of our life that are worrisome and troublesome? Or, just complain to Him about those areas and never surrender them? We must cast these burdens on Him if we expect to see Him handle them. He will not take them from us, we must lay them down and trust in Him.

RESPONSE:
Lord, You know my burdens today. I give them to You. I know that You are able to take them and I trust You to deal with these areas completely.
