Devotional – August 11, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 56:11–In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?

TRUTH:
No matter what we are facing, we can have confidence and faith. We do not have to live in fear. Once we have placed our trust and faith in God, we can be fully assured that He loves us and has a plan for us. No matter what the world does to us, we can confidently hold fast to God knowing that even if the “worst” should happen, we are still held by God.

RESPONSE:
Lord, I do not know what troubles and trials I will face today. But, no matter what this world flings at me, I will hold to You and not be afraid.
