Devotional – August 7, 2011

VERSE:
Psalm 52:2–Your tongue devises destruction; like a sharp razor, O worker of deceit.

TRUTH:
The tongue can be used for great good or great evil, depending on what we choose. When we speak, are we trying to cut others down or are we building them up? The sharpness of the tongue can result in deceit and destruction or truth and encouragement. How will we use our tongue today?

RESPONSE:
Lord, help me to be faithful to use my tongue today for encouragement and truth.
