Devotional – December 31, 2011

VERSE:
Luke 8:25a–And He said to them, “Where is your faith?”

TRUTH:
Jesus had just calmed the storm and turned to look at his disciples, who show both fear and amazement on their faces. He asks them, “Where is your faith?” Many times as I’ve gone through trying circumstances, I’ve heard Him whisper to me, “Where is your faith?” I’ve had to answer honestly that I don’t know. It’s not a condemnation by Him, but a reminder that I need to be looking for it, guarding it, because circumstances will come that will cause me to lose sight of my faith. Where is your faith?

RESPONSE:
Lord, my faith is in You. Help me not to forget or overlook what You have done for me. Help me to have faith that You will continue to glorify Yourself through me. In Romans it says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. I will stay in Your word and live by faith.
