Devotional – January 22, 2012

VERSE:
Job 6:10–But it is still my consolation, and I rejoice in unsparing pain, that I have not denied the words of the Holy One.

TRUTH:
Even through Job’s difficulties and pain, he found comfort and even rejoiced in the knowledge that He has stayed true to God. When we go through difficult times do we rejoice in the knowledge that we have stayed faithful to God? Do we hold on to that even when that seems to be the only thing we have to hold on to?

RESPONSE:
Lord, even going through the hard times, I want to reflect my love and faith in You. I pray You will help me to rejoice in knowing that I am seeking to follow You and have remained faithful to You, even when it seems I have nothing else left.
