Devotional – March 23, 2012

VERSE:
Nahum 3:19–There is no relief for your breakdown, your wound is incurable, all who hear about you will clap their hands over you, for on whom has not your evil passed continually.

TRUTH:
Nahum finishes his prophecies talking about the evil empire of Assyria. The Assyrians were in power and were taking over everything. They were cruel and brutal and, most importantly, disobedient to God. The people were reminded that God would judge and evil will have to be answered for. We can take hope in the fact that God is in control and that the evil will have to be accounted for.

RESPONSE:
Father, I pray that You will give me patience and help me to rest in the knowledge that You are over all and You are just.
