Devotional – October 19, 2011

VERSE:
Jude 21–keep yourselves in the love of God waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

TRUTH:
One day God, in His mercy will perfect us in eternal life. What should we be doing while we wait? We are to keep ourselves in God’s love. We are to allow it to be what motivates us, what drives us, what influences us, and what sustains us. Are we keeping ourselves in the love of God as we wait for His fulfillment of eternal life?

RESPONSE:
Lord, waiting can be difficult for me as I look forward to seeing You face to face. I pray You will help me wait in Your love each moment of today.
