Read Esther chapter 8 VERSE: Esther 8:4–Then the king extended the gold scepter to Esther and she arose and stood before him. TRUTH: Esther came before the king uninvited not once, but twice. Even after she was assured that she was safe and Mordecai was safe, she still risked her safety and returned to the king to plead for the lives of all Jews. Do we continue to fight for what is right even after our own safety is assured? God desires that we stand up for what is right, not just stand up for ourselves. VERSE: Exodus 23:22–If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you. TRUTH: As we are following God and being obedient to Him, we are not left defenseless. God is our defender and He will be the one to stand up for us. We are simply to focus on Him and on following Him. He will take responsibility for dealing with those people who will inevitably oppose us.
