Psalm and Praise, Day 123 No end. Read Psalm chapter 123. Some days, some situations, some issues, it can feel that there is no end to the problems and contept that we endure. I don’t understand why God allowed to have to go through the things that we do, but often it feels like there is no end in sight Even through these times, God is in control. We can trust him. We can rely in him. There may feel like there is no end, but God is still in control

Psalm and Praise, Day 122 Do we seek to spend time with God and with other believers? Read Psalm chapter 122. We have so many choices on where we go and how we spend our time. Yet are we excited to get to spend time with God? Do we look forward to spending time in his house with him and with other believers? If not, why not? These psalms were songs of praise that believers would sing on the path to going to these temple to praise and worship God. Will we sing as we go to God’s house as well?

Psalm and Praise, Day 121 Know where your help comes from. Read Psalm 121. We often need help throughout our life. We need to truly understand where our help comes from. When we are asking for help, it needs to be from the Lord because that is the only place that helps truly comes from.

Psalm and Praise, Day 120 Save me! Read Psalm chapter 120. There have been several times in my life that I have cried out to God to save me. At this point, this verse really sticks out to ne. I know that there are people who are not being truthful about situations. I can only plead my case to God and continue to ask him to intervene. I know that God knows the truth of the situation. I know that God desires to be glorified in the situation. I can’t wait to see how God chooses to move through it. But, there is very little that I can do to…

Psalm and Praise, Day 119 God’s Word. Read Psalm 119. It’s always such an accomplishment to read through Psalm 119. This chapter of 176 verses is full of praise and adoration for the word of God. When we think about all that God’s word is and all that it does in our lives, it’s so amazing to think that God provided it for us to be able to know him better and to love him more. Looking through this chapter, it’s always hard to pick out just 1 or 2 verses, but today these verses stuck out to me. We really only have two options, either we will love and…

Psalm and Praise, Day 118 I don’t have to defend myself or save myself. Read Psalm chapter 118. So often I tried to save myself or even defend myself. I know that the Lord is my savior and that he can defend me. He is much more capable of defending me than I am of defending myself. He is more capable of saving me than I am of saving myself. Will we allow him to save us? Will we allow him to defend us?

Psalm and Praise, Day 117 The character of who God is. Read Psalm chapter 117. It didn’t take a lot of words to describe who God is. Now, we can certainly use a lot of words, but the psalmist chose to be very direct in his communication in the chapter. God is loving and faithful, and we can expect that to never change. Are we resting in the consistency of who God is and how he wants to work in our lives?

Psalm and Praise, Day 116 He saved me when I wasn’t even aware of it. Read Psalm chapter 116. We often think of God as our savior and the one who comes to our help when we are in distress, but often that’s more about us praying to God for help and listing out the reasons and the ways that we need his help. Here, we see that God is actually saving us from a great many things that we aren’t even aware of. We don’t always have to pray and ask for God’s help to save us. He saves us anyway from the things that are crushing down on…

Psalm and Praise, Day 115 We become like what we praise. Read Psalm chapter 115. The psalmist writes about praising the Lord, but then he goes into a description of the idols that others worship. It’s a great reminder that we become what we praise and value. When the people praised and valued the idols that can’t see, can’t hear, and can’t do anything, they became like that. Will we be focused on praising the Lord and him alone?

Psalm and Praise, Day 114 The earth praises God. Read Psalm chapter 114. It is never just us that praise God. God created the earth and so it also will praise God. The earth understands who it’s creator is. The earth is always trembling before the holy God. Will we recognize what the earth already knows? Will we praise God as he is worthy of praise?
