The Message – #6

Send me. Isaiah goes through a lot in the chapter, Isaiah 6. He starts with massive change with the death of the king who had been ruler for over 50 years. Then He sees God in His glory and himself in sin. Repentance and forgiveness and finally, commission and obedience. Our focus is on verse 8.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Send me. Isaiah didn’t even know what the mission was or what the message was, but after seeing the holiness of God and being forgiven by him, he was willing to do anything for him. Do we fall at His feet in obedience, even before knowing what He’s going to ask? Are we willing to lay ourselves down before Him, just because He’s God?
