James 5:15–And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.
Do we pray in faith, believing that what we are praying for will be answered? James reminded them that illness is not always a result of sin, for the scripture uses the word “if” when talking about sin. People can be ill and have sickness and it not be the result or consequence of sin in their lives. Will we trust God completely with all that we our, our health included? That is where the prayer offered in faith comes into play. As we trust in God to know what is the best for us in every situation, we can know that God will answer.
Father, You are the Lord and You are able to do anything. I know that You are listening to the prayers of Your children and I lift up my requests to You, asking that You will do what You will in each and every circumstance so that You will be glorified. Thank You for all that You are doing in and through me.
