Leviticus 20:4-5a–If the people of the land, however, should ever disregard that man when he gives any of his offspring to Molech, so as not to put him to death, then I Myself will set My face against that man and against his family.
God has told them not to sacrifice their children, and if they do, then they are to be put to death. Along with that, He continues and says that if people do not follow through with that punishment, then they are guilty, too. We are not to stand idly by when we see a wrong committed. We are to stand up for what is right and declare to others God’s commands. God makes it clear that if we turn a blind eye to the sins of others, we are guilty of sin as well.
Father, our society is complacent and focused on tolerance at the expense of truth, and I can be guilty of these at times. I pray that You will forgive me and give me boldness to speak the truth in love to others who are going down the wrong path.
