Christian Devotional – March 15, 2016
VERSE:
Joshua 12:6–Moses, the servant of the Lord, and the Israelites conquered them. And Moses the servant of the Lord gave their land to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh to be their possession.
TRUTH:
Joshua takes a small break to go back and recount some of their history. The people have had great military success in the land and they have seen the fruitful results of obedience to God. So, this was a perfect time to go back and remind the people of just how faithful God had been to help them destroy their enemies. This obedience and blessing started with Moses and extended beyond. In the midst of our success, do we stop to remember where we came from and how God has moved and worked in our lives to be and do something amazing? God deserves the glory and the credit for the good times, just as diligently as when we seek Him in the rough times. Are we praising God for His blessings and faithfulness today?
RESPONSE:
Father, Thank You for all that You have done and all that You are doing in my life. I want to go back through and remind myself today of all that You have brought me through.
